Peter Reit, horn

Peter Reit, Principal horn of the GSO since 1989 is thrilled to be playing yet another wonderful concert series with the chamber players!  Peter has retired from his principal horn positions with the Westchester Philharmonic & Scandia Symphony Orchestras. He played in the Broadway show hit “The Phantom of the Opera" for 32 years.  He has been a guest artist with the Metropolitan Opera, New York Philharmonic, Orpheus Chamber Ensemble, Orchestra of St. Luke's, New York City Opera and Ballet Orchestras, and the American Ballet Theater.  Peter still plays with his wife Alyssa as a horn & harp duo, and freelances a bit here and there. He is featured on recordings of all musical genres, and has been heard on television, radio, and movie soundtracks.  Peter is newly retired from SUNY Purchase college and still on the faculty at Vassar College.
