Andrew Gordon, piano
A native of Boston, Andrew Gordon is a pianist, accompanist, vocal coach, composer, and teacher. He is the Organist at Diamond Hill United Methodist Church in Cos Cob, CT, and is active as a coach in the voice department at Western CT State University in Danbury. In 2022 he prepared a new English translation of Pauline Viardot’s “Cendrillon” for an upcoming production at West Conn; he is also the conductor on Centaur’s recording of Seymour Barab’s children’s opera, “Little Red Riding Hood”, featuring West Conn alumni and faculty. He has coached and performed at Central City Opera, Opera Omaha, Monadnock Music, and Yale Opera, among others. His choral anthem “An Evening Prayer” is published by Oxford University Press.
