Andrew Gordon, Piano

Andrew Gordon has been a member of the Greenwich Symphony since 1994. A graduate of the New England Conservatory and the Juilliard School, he studied principally with Russell Sherman and Jacob Lateiner. He serves as the Music Director at Diamond Hill United Methodist Church in Cos Cob, and is also a University Assistant at Western CT State University in Danbury, where he is a coach/accompanist in the Voice Department. In March 2015, he conducted West Conn's production of Aaron Copland's The Tender Land, stepping in on a week's notice; in 2013 he conducted a recording of Seymour Barab's children's opera Little Red Riding Hood, which has just been released on Centaur Records. He most recently appeared at the Frick Collection in Manhattan, performing Barber’s “Knoxville: Summer, 1915” with soprano Margaret Astrup. In March of 2018 he will be featured in a performance of Mozart’s A Major Concerto, K. 414 in Binghamton, New York.
