From an early age, violist David Creswell has been drawn to the interplay of music and innovation. A dynamic presence on the New York music scene for 30 years, he performs in settings ranging from solo and chamber works to orchestral and contemporary collaborations. He has toured internationally with the New York Philharmonic and has appeared on Broadway in acclaimed productions including Sunset Boulevard, Les Misérables, South Pacific, and Bright Star. As a concerto soloist, he has performed Bartók’s Viola Concerto, Schnittke’s Monologue, Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante, and Bach’s Brandenburg Concertos. His work also includes chamber music in intimate venues and studio recordings for film, television, and cross-genre projects.

Outside of music, David runs a technology consultancy, solving challenges and helping clients maximize their digital tools. He is also a sought-after lecturer, known for interactive presentations that explore the relationship between beauty and order in music, mathematics, technology, and life.
