Jerry Bryant, trumpet

Jerry Bryant is thrilled to be joining the Greenwich Symphony Orchestra as Principal Trumpet in the fall of 2021.

A regular on Broadway, Jerry has performed with WickedMy Fair LadyThe Kind and I, Beauty and the Beast and the Radio City Music Hall Orchestra. He has also performed with the Metropolitan Opera, National Symphony (Washington D.C.), New Jersey and Jacksonville symphonies. Jerry is Principal Trumpet/Orchestra Personnel Manager of the Princeton Symphony Orchestra and the Glimmerglass Opera Festival in Cooperstown, NY. He is also a member of the New York City Opera Orchestra and the Hartford Symphony Orchestra.

Jerry served as Petty Officer First Class in The United States Navy Band, Washington DC for seven years. During that time, he was tasked to perform ‘taps’ for hundreds of simple and full honor ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and throughout the country. Additionally, he was a featured soloist with the band and performed for presidents, dignitaries and audiences throughout the world.

Jerry serves on the trumpet faculty of New Jersey City University, Montclair State University, Seaton Hall University and Kean University where he is also the Director of Athletic Bands. He holds a Master of Music degree from The Catholic University of America and a Bachelor of Music from Florida State University.
