Keve Wilson, oboe
Oboist Keve Wilson skipped math as a kid to practice Irish jigs and reels instead. Having performed everywhere from Argentina to New Zealand, Keve recently performed the New York premiere of the Ruth Gipps Oboe Concerto and wrapped up production of the final musical by Stephen Sondheim Here We Are on Broadway. She recreated the Mitch Miller oboe solos from Bird with Strings at Birdland, Jazz at Lincoln Center and on recording for Arbors Records, as well as the iconic oboe solos of The Carpenters at the New York club 54Below.
Keve has played 21 Broadway shows and inspires visiting high school band and orchestra students from around the country with her original show Believe NYC---from the Band Room to Broadway.
In 2026, Keve heads to Alaska with her duo Rachel & Keve for a residency performing original arrangements for oboe and violin. She is the English hornist every July at Festival PAAX in Mexico and can be heard on numerous classical, pop and Broadway recordings, including Grammy winning Alma Adentro with Miguel Zenon.
A winner of Concert Artists Guild and graduate of Eastman School of Music, Keve is on the faculty of Manhattan School of Music and lives in NYC with her husband Kerry and Portuguese water dog Bugsy.
